Modern Quilts at Mountain QuiltFest

I had a great time teaching at Mountain QuiltFest in Pigeon Forge Tennessee this month.  I taught five modern quilt classes and gave a lecture, “What Makes a Modern Quilt?”.

Several of the classes used patterns from my book, Madly Modern Quilts .

The Fibonacci pattern  and the X block pattern can be purchased here.

I was happily tired and full of happy memories when I flew home on Sunday morning.

All of the following samples are from my MidCentury Modern Curve Workshop.

As I’ve mentioned before, I am filming and editing an online course on this technique.  Look for announcements and launch in May 2020.

Pigeon Forge Quilt Show

I had time to visit the Quilt Show.  Here are some modern quilts that were in the Show. Label shows name of quilter.

National Quilting Day

National Quilting day is Saturday, March 21, 2020.  Post on social media!  Better yet, if you can do so safely, visit a quilting friend.  Social distancing doesn’t mean we can’t visit each other safely. Let’s be sure to stay in touch with each other during these challenging times.
