Hi, I am Carole Lyles Shaw & Welcome to my Site.
I am a contemporary textile artist. My textile art works have been juried into numerous fine art shows and quilt shows in galleries, museums and other venues. I work in two styles: creating textile art inspired by Geometric Abstraction and AfroModernism and exploring figurative work in my story and portrait art quilts.
I hope you enjoy learning about my textile art through the resources on this page.I blog about upcoming exhibitions and also share early looks at some of my works in progress.
My work is available for purchase and I accept a limited number of private commissions each year. You can contact me here for more information.
Also, you can sign up for me newsletter to hear about new work as it becomes available. I also share resources about the world of textile art.
